What is the Pamplin Planner?

The Pamplin Planner is designed to help Pamplin undergraduate students stay connected with relevant events happening around campus. This page provides a comprehensive list of upcoming events tailored to the interests and academic journeys of Pamplin students.

Additionally, every Sunday, all Pamplin undergraduates will receive an email highlighting the events for the upcoming week, ensuring they never miss out on opportunities to engage, learn, and grow within the Pamplin community. The Pamplin Planner is an essential tool for making the most of the academic and extracurricular offerings at Pamplin.

Career and Professional Development (CPD) is pleased to offer free professional photos to Virginia Tech students using our Iris booth. The booth is located on the 2nd floor of Smith Career Center, 870 Washington Street, SW (across from McComas). Photos can be used for your Handshake profile, LinkedIn profile, or anywhere you need to represent yourself professionally.

There is no guarantee that the HokieBird will be available on a given date or time. The completion of this form is merely a request and you can check back on the status of your request by entering your confirmation number at the top of this page. Due to on-going COVID-19 concerns, the HokieBird will not be making any appearances on football and basketball game dates. The HokieBird does not make appearances on holidays. Event details and attendance numbers will be taken into consideration for all requests. The HokieBird has a 2-hour time limit on appearances. For external events, a HokieBird appearance is $200 per hour plus travel expenses. ($0.50 per mile if appearance is outside of Blacksburg) Depending on location, some external events may require lodging be provided. For internal Virginia Tech events as well as charitable non-profit events, HokieBird appearances are $50 per hour. For virtual events, a HokieBird appearance is $25 per 15 minutes. Any custom signage or props needed for the event must be provided by the requestor or be added to the cost of the request fee. HokieBird appearances may not be used to promote businesses nor should they imply a partnership with Virginia Tech, unless specifically provided written permission. Requests for the HokieBird must be made at least 3 weeks prior to the event. Confirmation of a request will take place 2 weeks prior to the date of the event.
